The New Mexico Campus Opens their Hearts to Newborns
For the past four years, the New Mexico Campus has been a leader in public service through its efforts to provide newborn necessities to underprivileged families. The campus has exemplified its role as a community leader by promoting and managing the event called Open Your Hearts to Newborns in Need. In partnership with Albuquerque’s own Presbyterian Hospital, the campus collects items like car seats, diapers, clothing and baby wipes. This year they collected over 6,000 items at collection locations including the New Mexico Campus and St. Charles Borromeo School. In addition, they hosted baby showers across New Mexico as a fun and interactive way to get involved. They were featured in multiple newscasts by local stations and were true representatives of University of Phoenix’s spirit of giving. They hope their donations can improve the quality of life of New Mexico newborns living in poverty.

participation.
